Since 1930, McRae Engineering has been innovating and supplying a wide variety of businesses in Canada with top-notch industrial equipment such as claw pumps, valve assemblies, blowers, and more. Part of our recipe for success has been our partnerships with established manufacturers from all over the world, such as Elmo Rietschle. Elmo Rietschle is one of our most trusted sources for industrial pump products.
In today’s blog, we will be going over the C-Series claw pumps from Elmo Rietschle.
Overview
The C-Series claw pumps are designed to generate contact-free vacuums or compressed air efficiently and economically. There are three main products in this line: the C-VLR Zephyr, C-KLR Zephyr, and C-DLR Zephyr. These are dry pumps, featuring a precision gear set and optimized, precision-shaped claws. The claw rotors control the transportation of the medium by opening and closing the inlet and outlet channels, and as such no fluids are required for operation. These pumps utilize internal compression, which means the gas is pre-compressed within the chamber and then discharged. This process allows the pump to be far more energy-saving compared to other kinds of pumps.
These claw pumps are best used in the chemical industry for gas compression, as well as in the packaging, medical, environmental engineering, chemical, conveying, printing, and woodworking industries. They are also suitable for post-press applications, where they can be used for air supply cabinets, book-binding machines, collating machines, and more.
